Talent Show Entrance Information
(Please read this carefully)

WHERE IS IT?

  Location: St. Francis Society, Palmer St. & 8th Ave., Frankfort
  Date: Sunday June 1, 2008
  Time: 1:00pm - 2:00pm
 

AGE GROUPS

5-9, 10-13, 14-18

 

PRIZES

Cash prizes for each age group (1st Place - $30, 2nd Place - $20, 3rd Place - $10)

Participation Certificate given to ALL participants

 

AUDITION (MANDATORY)

You must come to an audition to enter our talent show.
Audition Location: St. Francis Society, Frankfort  Palmer Street & 8th. Ave (Next to the Frankfort High School)
Audition Time & Date: 11:00am-2:00pm April 19 , May 17 2008
***NOTE: Contestants only need to attend one audition date.
 

RULES

 

Contestant’s age categories are 5-8, 9-13, 14-18 (18 year olds must be currently enrolled in high school.)

In each category: First prize-$30, Second Prize-$20 and Third Prize- Trophy.    All participants will receive a certificate of participation.

Please keep performance family oriented.   Audition committee has sole discretion as to the content allowed.

Five finalists from each division will be chosen at auditions and will be entered for Talent Show. Two alternates from each division will be stand-bys.

Limit of 1 song or performance per entry.

If the event there are not five acts in each age category, the audition      committee has the option of combining the age categories.

Contestants must use same act as auditioned. And will be limited to 5 minute setup and breakdown time.

All Contestants should arrive 30 minutes before show time.
Contestants will compete against each other within their own division and contestants may perform in one act only.

There is no limit to the number of participants in each act.

Contestants must furnish any equipment needed for their act for both    audition and Talent Show. Our sound system will be used for any vocals.  Amplifiers and such must be supplied by the contestants.

When the majority of an act is in one age category, the act will perform in that division.  If there are an equal number of contestants in two age      categories, the act will perform at the higher age division.

The decision of the audition committee and the Judges at the Talent show are final.

No Contestant will be considered if ever received a fee for performing or if they have live professional backup .

Applications must be filled out completely, including a contact person and phone number.  All contestants performing in the group must be listed.

 
In case of a tie the audience will break the tie by casting a ballot for one or the other of the tying acts.
Each act must have its own entry form.  Groups should list all performers.
Winning acts will be listed on the website.  All acts agree to be photographed and videotaped for promotional use of the Festival.

Little Miss/Little Mr. Pageant Entrance Information
(Please read this carefully)

WHERE IS IT?

 Age Categories:
Little Miss Jr. 4-7 ,  Little Miss 8-12 , Little Mr. Jr. 4-7 , Little Mr. 8-12
 
INTERVIEW (MANDATORY)
You must come to an interview to enter our pageant.
Interview Location: St. Francis Society, Frankfort  Palmer Street & 8th. Ave (Next to the Frankfort High School)
Interview Time & Date: 11:00am-2:00pm April 19, May 17 2008
***NOTE: Contestants only need to attend one interview date.
 
RULES
 
Semi-formal or formal wear will be acceptable attire.  ( no jeans,sneakers,miniskirts, etc)
The outfit you are choosing to wear for the pageant should be the outfit you wear to your interview.  If a different outfit is worn the day of the competition, it is up to the judges as to the acceptability of the outfit worn.
All contestants will be judged on poise, personality, and appearance.  Each child have to walk out on stage unaccompanied by their parent or guardian, be asked a random age appropraite question and walk back to their parent or guardian who will be waiting at the end of the stage the day of the competition.
All contestants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at ALL times during the competition and, if crowned, all events where he/she is representing the St. Francis Society.
There will be a winner and first runner up chosen in each group.  The winner will recieve a $25 cash, a sash and crown or tiara for use at St. Francis Society events.  The first runner up will receive a $10.
In case the winner is not able to complete his or her duties for the year, the first runner up will be willing to replace them and represent the St. Francis Society.
  1. The winner in each category must be willing to represent the St. Francis at the following events:
    1. Be available to participate in the following year’s procession to the church and back.
    2. Be available to crown the next year’s winner.
    3. Be available to attend the Communion breakfast and Ladies Auxiliary Barbeque.
    4. Winner may be requested to attend additional appropriate events.
Each winner will be asked to represent the St. Francis Society with pride and good manners.  They will be asked to dress appropriately when representing the Society.  This can be done casually ( Jeans, sneakers, Etc.) as long as all items worn are in good taste.
